about

Until Next Time almost never happened. We decided to record our second record as a collective on a whim in summer's end 2014 to follow up our official debut album Orphic Hymns. It is a concept album set in a futuristic, isolated, yet bustling city named Argonne found beneath a glass dome on 1 of the 67 Galilean moons of Jupiter. We are dropped into the center of the story to find our conflicted and complex protagonist Charlie Wolf trying to break free from this congested city by cracking the glass.

Musically, we wanted to create a very open and expansive sonic landscape for the characters to tell their story. The "sound" is more relaxed and solemn rather than the frenetic and in-your-face vibe from Orphic Hymns. 2 of the tracks were written years ago. (Charlie Wolf written in singer Evan Opitz's 8th Grade year, and Despair written in his 10th grade year.) There are 3 acoustic tracks which were recorded and presented in their natural and completely stripped form. This was done to capture the frailty and imperfections of human emotion. Although it has a very mellow and softer sound than our first record, it still simmers with the energy mirroring the situations and emotions of the characters.

Track Name: Nova
"Like one, that on a lonesome road
Doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned round, walks on,
And turns no more his head;
Because he knows a frightful fiend
Doth close behind him tread."

- Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Track Name: Until Next Time
One more will scratch the sky
Sink ships with sinful eyes
Beauty as infinite as yours
Could mend the darkest cry

O You should let me go
For the bars of this jail cell only salt my wounds
Blinded by sickening sunshine so sweet and lush
Enough to rot dream eaters' teeth
Oh I know that you have played the part!

A single space between time
A momentary lapse of reason
The future tense of death itself
I will unlock your soul

If a wolf is separated from its pack
Grant no superiority squandered in its tracks
Charlie, don't you understand?
Fantasy won't save you from what you must expect
(What would happen next?)

One more will scratch the sky
Sink ships with sinful eyes
Beauty as infinite as yours
Could mend the darkest cries
Track Name: Taken
The girl with the suede jacket
She plays me a song keeping me awake
Perfumed her scent around me
Vapor trails of light and sorrow

Try to hide old habits
But they just keep acting out
Whose fault would it be?
Yours or mine?

I'm stuck here wondering
If I will ever stop this perplexed exposé
Wielding voodoo
Dazed confusion
Can't recall your name
I was caught in a deep freeze
Not knowing what and for why?
Holding onto eyes concealing
Keeping me at bay

Fatefully holding out your hand
You turned the snow to sand
And weaved your way through waves
When the sky shatters, where will you be?

I'm stuck here wondering
If I will ever stop this perplexed exposé
Wielding voodoo
Dazed confusion
Can't recall your name
I was caught in a deep freeze
Not knowing what and for why?
Holding onto eyes concealing
Keeping me at bay

She plays me a song keeping me awake...
Track Name: Charlie Wolf
Poor little Charlie Wolf
Lost in his own world
Poor little boy, don't you worry
You will conquer

"Please God, right now I need your glorious guidance
I'm lost in Cerberus Woods
And I'd run if I could"

I'm just a boy born into fantasy
I'm just a ghost lost in fantasy
I'm just a boy lost in fantasy
I'm just a ghost you know I need fantasy

Poor little Charlie Wolf
Crying in his own world
Poor little boy, don't you worry
You will conquer

"Please God, right now I need your glorious guidance
I'm lost in Cerberus Woods
And I'd run if I could"

No questions now
Helpless beyond repair
If we crack the mirror
Break into the atmosphere

I'm just a boy lost in fantasy
I'm just a ghost you know I need fantasy to breathe
I'm just a boy lost in fantasy
I'm just a ghost you know I need fantasy

All the years pass us by,
Still the message the same
Watch the watchman tonight as he solemnly sings

I'm just a boy born into fantasy
I'm just a ghost you know I need fantasy
I'm just a boy lost in fantasy
I'm just a ghost you know I need fantasy
Track Name: Quandary
But tucked away deep dwelling
In the Alabama orchard
Untouchable to irreverence

Dovetailed cliché shouts "Love"
Why'd you go and do that to me, Camellia?

The flower gently blooms
To hypnotize a canine claw
Plucked by unconsecrated tongues
Misfit, misplaced menagerie

Dovetailed cliché shouts "Love"
Why'd you go and do that to me, Camellia?

It's 7:00 on a Friday night
I'll give you a call because it feels right
We both know the truth
Life is not that easy
We look for the answers
We look for the answers

Dovetailed cliché shouts "Love"
Track Name: Drawing The Ocean
Always that person in every town
Daddy issues, turtle shell
Gotta get out frozen tear drops
I saw you fall apart

Numbing your brain
You've had enough
So you walk on home
And you sail the sea

Sail the sea you drew on the wall
In chalk that makes things come alive

Sew the strands right through one arm
And pull the strings with the other
Lie about your age and watch your nose grow
No, you're not a real boy

Numbing your brain
You've had enough
So you walk on home
And you sail the sea

Sail the sea you drew on the wall
In chalk that makes things come alive
Track Name: The Sunne In Splendour
You've crossed off all the X's on a form you made for me
A portrait of a moving picture filmed eternally
A paradox hid in question deep beneath a stack of magazines
Locked in a closet you'd find under the stairs

You've taken all these pills
And watch your life ooze from your ears
A feeling rather simple
Drugged to forget all your fears

You know I'd rather die than see your life go to hell
But wishing for the poison pricks the finger
Can't you tell?

Moving towards your gaze
We'll dance above the flames
I want to breathe that neon haze
Scattered amongst the blacks and the greys

Please don't let your tongue
Burn holes in disconnection
A prayer for my future son with peace and love you offered

The pages stuck together in this book that you wrote
Display a single melody projecting from your throat
Heard your voice soar side by side
In intervallic leaps

To hear you from the balcony just once in my whole life
It makes me quiver hoping my soul could end all this strife
The darkness faced by others that I used to face myself
Will surely shroud but an insect in proportion to your smile

Moving towards your gaze
We'll dance above the flames
I want to breathe that neon haze
Scattered amongst the blacks and the greys

Please don't let your tongue
Burn holes in disconnection
A prayer for my future son with peace and love you offered

Falling from this filament
Gave the moon the stars the sun
Tricking liars like a mime
Paying forward next to none

Please don't let your tongue
Burn holes in disconnection
A prayer for my future son with peace and love you offered
Track Name: 11:17 / Despair
(11:17)
February Evening
My spare time is lost
Even the best laid plans fall through
All of my feelings tossed

The stairway to nowhere
The window of stars
King of the fools, She's the queen of Mars

When I arrive at my destination
I would have already been there
What hell would tomorrow bring?
The night paints the picture
But the day just tears it down

They should not have to sing!
Feel the sweet sting the broken wing
I will not let life get the best of me
Until Next Time

(Despair)
Why can't you see me dreaming?
Why can't you see the truth sprang out of time?
I know your life is short
Enjoyment, Enjoying, Enjoy, Explode, and Extort

The words are distorted
You want to believe
Believe you can be
Yourself
Yourself
Yourself
The only thing that you can try to obtain is...

Another dead sentence being told to you
Force fed the rules over and over again
You become one with the others
You won't understand what you see

When I become one of the others,
Will you comfort me?
Will you come to catch me when I fall?

What the hell would tomorrow bring
The night paints the picture
But the day just tears it down

They should not have to sing
Feel the sting, the broken wing

When I arrive at my destination
I would have already been there

I need to find you
Before you bring me down
Now that I've found you
Now will you bring me down?

The stairway to nowhere
The window of stars

Yourself
Yourself
Yourself
The only thing that you can try to obtain is...
The only thing keeping you from saving you...

When you'd say I'll never change
You must have been wrong.
Damn wrong.

Yourself
Yourself
Yourself
The only thing that you can try to obtain is...
The only thing keeping you from saving the world is you...

The stairway to nowhere
The window of stars
When I arrive at my destination
I would have already been there

I will not let life get the best of me
Until Next Time...
Track Name: Camellia
I bid farewell to your love
As I step aside and let you drive off in winter snow
Dry your tears, wave goodbye

I know I can't change your mind this time
You mustn't bleed your heart for me

So many times I have seen
You tongue-tied and anxious
This flower is wilting in the heat

No one's fault
Memories

I know I can't change your mind this time
Fragrance too sweet,
Camellia
